First of all, great project and i am using the program and also the android app for a few weeks.. and it saves me a lot of trouble when i am working protable as i do currently.

I found a few small issues that could be improved i hope:
When working with the external gps enabled and then disconnect the gps, and the windows application is minmalised you are not able to open the app to switch off the comport to the gps, and the only way is kill the proces and restart and then disable. 
Suggestion: polling and when comport is dead or not responding open the screen and or switch off or shutdown with notice why.

I also had a strange problem with the bluetooth connection. There was a connection between the phone and the notebook over bluetooth, but there was no traffic so no gps coordinate came at the windows site. The main solution was not restarting the app on the phone but reboot the pc.. no reason why .... 

When porable i will sometimes forget to push the ww button, ans also when i restart wsjtx.  Is it an idea if the transport to wsjtx it activated, to make it a polling meganism, ad or pushing meganism, that when wsjtx is active every xx minutes the location grid is send? or make a semafore pointer when wsjtx received the gridlocator, poll every minute if wsjtx procces is active and when not take away the semafore and when wsjtx procces is there again send the grid locator ... when it is there...

First of all, thank you for your donation to support the BktTimeSync project.
Let's take a look at the issues you've been having:
- Unfortunately, in the Windows environment, there are too many different drivers, especially for COM ports emulated via USB. For maximum compatibility, I had to make a compromise in how the COM port is handled, which meant giving up some features. Losing the connection should automatically unblock the program, but with a long timeout (up to 15 minutes).

- The Bluetooth issue was most likely caused by a frozen Bluetooth stack on the PC itself.

- If you've checked the "auto-grid" option, the WWL locator is automatically sent to WSJT-X every time the time is checked (Sync every)
